A jaunt into traditional cubism.  (I have to say I enjoyed the ride...don't be surprised if I go there again someday.)

This piece was painted in Jan/Feb '5 while working in Robert Hurst's south Austin studio.  The background collage includes an amalgam of vintage papers based on the idea of a person who is very creative and successful in multiple fields of interest...a Renaissance Man, of sorts:  engineering & survey manuals, logarithm tables, German picture dictionary, thesaurus, and movie reviews (of films by Alfred Hitchcock, something of a prodigy himself).
