Grand This painting reduces the concert grand piano to its visual fundaments: a sensual curving outline draping a forest of keys. A color-field painting, this piece was created with many layers of transparent and opaque acrylic paints and mediums, applied with various techniques...and in some cases removed by sanding or scraping or scrubbing. Underneath the golden "negative space" in the upper right are collaged pages of a vintage printing of Bach's First Brandenburg Concerto. To view
